Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to help connect people to new life in Jesus Christ

River of Life is located 100 yards from the Monongahela River in southwestern Pennsylvania. The Monongahela is the largest, north-flowing river in the United States. Running from the mountains of West Virginia, it meets its merging point in Pittsburgh where it joins the Allegheny River to become the Ohio River. Our church celebrates the life and motion of a river and it’s a symbolic connection to our faith.

“Let’s Gather and Grow at the River” – Psalm 1:3

Rivers are essential for mobility, recreation, and commerce. Scripturally, the river symbolizes healing, blessings, and God’s delight. When a river is flowing, it’s healthy. At River of Life, an Apostolic church, holy waters flow.

“There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.” Psalms 46:4

Zach & Emmy Ray

Zach & Emmy Ray

Youth & Hyphen Leader

Zach started attending River of Life back in 2010. He began as a dedicated member of the church’s youth group, and after high school in 2015, began co-directing the church’s young people. Soon after, he’d meet Emmy and they’d lead the youth and hyphen together. The two are dedicated to showing their young adults how God’s overwhelming love and power can help them shine in their schools and communities.

Pastor Tim & Starr Truckenmiller

Lead Pastor

Tim, along with his wife Starr and their three children, planted River of Life in 1995, hoping it would become a beacon of light in the world. Overcoming many obstacles through the years, River of Life has been just that to so many. Today the couple pastors the church with a message of love and grace for all who welcome God and his gentleness into their lives.

Cassidy Truckenmiller

Children's Ministry Leader

Cassidy started attending River of Life in 1995 when her parents, Tim and Starr, founded the church. Since then, Cassidy has discovered her burden for children and gained a passion for teaching them the word of God. Cassidy is also a local teacher in the area where she specializes in working with kids who have disabilities. Her love for the community and others shines through her weekly when she’s leading her Sunday school classes.

River of Life believes in the power of God and his moving presence.  Our worship is dynamic, filled with live music and anointed musicians whose mission is to glorify God and lead people to a vibrant relationship with Him.

How long does a typical Sunday Service last?

Our services begin at 10:30 AM and typically lasts less than two hours. If service goes longer than that, it’s because God is really doing something special.

What are your core beliefs?

  1. We believe in oneness, meaning that we serve one God.
  2. We follow the Acts 2:38 salavation plan: repent, be baptized, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
  3. We practice holiness, or living modest, humble lives in service of the living God.

What kind of people attend River Of Life?

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” (Hebrews 22:37-38). We preach a message of love and compassion here in the valley. All of our members are sure to welcome you with open arms and kindness because of their dedication to demonstrating God’s word.

Can I speak to the Pastor prior to attending?

Reach out to us through our contact page and we will connect you directly with our pastor or get you to someone who’d be happy to answer all of your questions. Also, check out our team’s page where you can connect with us and him on Facebook. Pastor, Truckenmiller is always willing to connect with and help members of the community in the best possible way he can.
